Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to support the planning, coordination, and execution of construction and field operations projects. This role works closely with Project Managers, field personnel, vendors, subcontractors, and clients to help ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on time, and within budget.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Project Managers with day-to-day project coordination and administrative support

  • Help manage project schedules, timelines, budgets, and documentation

  • Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers regarding materials, deliveries, and project updates

  • Prepare and maintain project files, contracts, submittals, purchase orders, and change orders

  • Track project progress and assist with reporting on job status, labor, and costs

  • Support field operations by communicating with supervisors and crews regarding project needs and schedules

  • Attend project meetings and maintain accurate meeting notes and follow-up items

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and client requirements

  • Assist with invoicing, payroll coordination, and other project-related administrative duties

  • Help identify and resolve project issues in a timely and professional manner

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous experience in construction, industrial, or project management support roles preferred

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams

  • Experience with project management software is a plus

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment

  • Professional demeanor with strong customer service and communication skills

  • Understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, and job cost tracking preferred

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
