Crew Foreman for Roadway Lighting

The Crew Foreman is to provide the necessary planning, direction, control and supervision of field crew, in order to accomplish the requirements of all projects assigned, in the most efficient manner possible while assuring a high standard of quality. 

Role and Responsibilities

  • Lead construction crew to complete projects.
  • Construction projects include installation of roadway lighting.
  • Required to pour concrete foundations, install underground conduit, pull wire, and install light poles and luminaires.
  • Create a material list
  • Must be able to operate mini excavator and pole truck.
  • Delegate daily work to crew members and supervise crew members on assignments.
  • Manage loading of materials and the necessary equipment to perform the given task.
  • Monitor crew member’s work and evaluate their performance.
  • Ensure compliance to safety rules and regulations.
  • Review and manage crew schedules.
  • Prepare field reporting, including daily foreman’s report, safety reports, inspection reports, etc.
  • Ensure all company policies are consistently followed by all personnel under responsibility.
  • Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques
  • Perform all other responsibilities that may be assigned by the Project Manager.


  • 10+ years of experience within the construction industry, with a minimum of two years supervision experience.
  • Class A CDL
  • Must be able to read and understand construction plans.
  • Experience in crew management, good planning ability, and supervision skills.
  • Exceptional knowledge in trade.
  • Good organizational and communication skills, and time-management skills.
  • Excellent leadership, management and motivational skills.
  • Understand and be familiar with different aspects of construction.
  • Must be able to work competently even under extreme pressure.
  • High School graduate.

Working Conditions

Crew Foreman work primarily at the construction site. On any construction project, there are a number of laws and regulations that one must follow.

Work Schedule

Typical working hours for this position are Monday through Thursday, 6:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Hours can also vary by job, location and season, and may require additional hours to complete job tasks. This position may require traveling out of town depending on jobsite location.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift fifty pounds and have good eyesight and hearing.

Traffic Signal Foreman

Diamond Electrical is hiring a Traffic Signal Foreman.  Duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  •   Ensure proper installation of traffic signal cabinets, to include proper wiring, labeling, grounding, and proper installation of controller, conflict monitor, power supply, detection system, GPS and other cabinet components.
  • Troubleshoot signal and fiber-optic systems
  •  Communicate frequently with vendors of traffic signal equipment to maintain product knowledge and maximize product functionality
  •  Communicate with state and local traffic signal technicians to resolve technical issues on Diamond-controlled intersections
  • Document existing conditions at intersections prior to construction/modification
  • Utilize checklist to confirm systems are ready for turn on prior to scheduled turn-on date


  •  Ability to read plans
  •  Possession of or Ability to obtain Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) within 90 days
  •  Ability to travel outside of Baton Rouge area for multiple days at a time (transportation to be provided by Diamond Electrical)

Traffic Signal Technician

Diamond Electrical is hiring a Traffic Signal Technician.  Duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  •   Install traffic signals while utilizing a bucket truck
  •  Install junction boxes utilizing a mini excavator
  •  Install traffic signal cable/wire
  •  Work with a crew to install traffic signal pole foundations


  •  Experience working with a bucket truck
  •  Experience operating a mini excavator
  •  Valid drivers license
  •  Ability to travel outside of Baton Rouge area for multiple days at a time (transportation to be provided by Diamond Electrical)
